ORTD 322   Introduction to Orthodontics

Cr: 1  (1 Lec., 1 Pract.)  Prerequisite OCLS 223

The course aims to provide students with the basic knowledge of craniofacial growth and development, and the origin of craniofacial deformities, and clinical application of growth and development , identify the  characteristics  of normal occlusion , etiology of the possible hereditary and environmental factors and the diagnosis of different classes of malocclusion, and become familiar with the clinical implication of developing malocclusion and how to diagnose them at a very early stage. In addition, the course will expose the students to the various orthodontic records and preparing the students to analyze and interpret the findings.
