Beirut Arab University Hosts the “Arab
Women Investors Union”
Under the Patronage of the “Arab Economic Union Council” – “League of
Arab States”, Beirut Arab University hosted the Workshop Forum organized
by the “Arab Women Investors Union” titled: “Trading and Investment are
the bases of Stability, and Social Responsibility is the Safety Shield”.
The Forum was held on Saturday 17th of September 2011 at Jamal Abdel
Naser Hall in the presence of the Ambassador of Egypt HE Mr. Mohamad
Tawfic; Minister Plenipotentiary – Commercial / Head of the Commercial
Office at the Embassy of Egypt in Lebanon Mr. Saad El Sheikh; President
of Beirut Arab University, Prof Amr Galal El Adawi; Secretary General,
Mr. Issam Houri; Deans of faculties, and a selected number of Economic
figures.
President of “Arab Women Investors Union”, Dr. Hoda Galal Yassa opened
the forum by emphasizing on the importance cooperation at the level of
Economic investments in the different countries. She added that it is
essential to reach a unified and shared vision for the sustainable
development. She also encouraged communication and cooperation between
Business people and Colleges, the process that results in upgrading the
latest sources, urging students to work on strengthening their
potentials through training, and offering them better career
opportunities.
In his turn, Minister Plenipotentiary – Commercial/ Head of the
Commercial Office at the Embassy of Egypt in Lebanon Mr. Saad El Sheikh
expressed that the circumstances witnessed in Egypt lately did not have
negative impact on the Lebanese Investors, and therefore normal projects
were running smoothly. Based on that, he stressed on strengthening the
trade relations between the two countries.
President of Beirut Arab University Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi drew the
attention to the fact that the latest changes and developments the
region is undergoing would open doors for equity in job opportunities
and thus better future for the ambitious and visionary youth. He assured
that the Arab Cooperation at various levels is conducive to stability
and enhanced societal and economic development.
Dean of Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration Prof. Nehal
Mostafa expressed her pleasure at holding such an important forum in the
premises of Beirut Arab University. She expressed the belief that that
instability has great impact on investments, the most important
component for maintaining political and sociable stability in the
country. She called for mapping an administrative infrastructure that is
based on harmony and balance between the laws for successful investments
in the Arab world.
