Graduate Admission Admission 2010/2011 Degree Offering Beirut Arab University grants the following postgraduate degrees based on the recommendations of the faculties councils: 1. Graduate Diploma 2. Professional Graduate Diploma, 1. Specialized Graduate Diploma, 2. Master Degree, 3. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Submission of Application Form The Final dates for submission of application forms are as follows: Fall Semester : 31 of July Spring Semester: 31 of December Summer Semester: 31 of April Semester Schedule Fall Semester : spans over a 15-week period and starts in September. Spring Semester : spans over a 15-week period and starts in February. Summer Semester: spans over an 8 week period and starts in July. 1- Diploma Registration Rules Applicants for any of the postgraduate Diploma Degree must hold a Bachelor Degree obtained from BAU or any other recognized university. Diploma Degree Requirements The student should complete the minimum credit hour in the Faculty curriculum with a CGPA not less than 2.33, to obtain diploma; that is according to the number of hours shown in the fifth article from the list. This list is related to the credit hours required for graduation.  2- Master Degree Registration Rules 1. Applicants for the Master Degree must hold either:      i. a Bachelor Degree obtained from Beirut Arab University or any recognized university with a minimum CGPA grade of “C”; or a Specialized Graduate Diploma with a minimum CGPA grade of “C” or its equivalence.      ii. Postgraduate students should pass the TOEFL exam with at least an average of 500, or IELTS, or its equivalence in other languages before registering for the thesis.      iii. Submission of two letters of recommendation.      iv. Application form for graduate admission. 2. Students will be notified within a month from the date of their application of the decision regarding their admission to the program. 3- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree Registration Rules 1. Applicants for the PhD Degree must hold a Master degree from Beirut Arab University or any other recognized university, that   qualifies him/her to pursue their PhD. 2. Postgraduate students should pass the TOEFL exam with at least an average of 500, or IELTS, or its equivalent in other languages before registering for the thesis. 3. Submission of three letters of recommendation. 4. Application form for graduate admission. 5. Students will be notified within a month from the date of their application of the decision regarding their admission to the program.
