COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course involves several sessions whereby the students will solve theoretical case studies for specific disease conditions. Each case study will provide the needed basic assessment data and laboratory values needed to apply the nutrition care process.  The student will also develop a nutrition counseling plan aiming at modifying the dietary and life style habits to promote disease prevention and  healthy living.  

COURSE AIM
This course builds the skills in medical nutrition therapy of different diseases through exposing the students to various theoretical cases. This will be achieved through solving several cases. These cases involve  diabetes mellitus, renal diseases, cardiovascular diseases, pregnancy, breastfeeding, gastrointestinal diseases, hepatic diseases, pancreatic diseases, critical illness... under close supervision of the instructor of the course.
