Professional Information
Overall aims:
This is a didactic course aiming to provide a detailed knowledge and understanding of the epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, relevant laboratory data, signs and symptoms, treatment options and guidelines of common endocrine disorders.
It includes diabetes mellitus, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, adrenal gland and pituitary gland disorders, in addition to Gynecologic and obstetric disorders.
This course aims also to build up students' clinical skills and analytical apprehension for appropriate drug selection, drug dosing and patient counseling. Technical aspect related to drug dosing, comparison and contrast between different pharmacological categories is relevant.
