Associate Professor of Mathematics


Dr. Emad Ashmawy is currently working as Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Faculty of Science at Beirut Arab University. He has received his PhD in Mathematics from Alexandria University in 2007 where he worked as assistant lecturer at the department of Mathematics and Computer Science in the Faculty of Science at Alexandria University. His research interests are in the fields of Applied Mathematics and Fluid Dynamics. He has more than 30 publications in his field of research in international scientific journals.

Research

1. Research Interests

My research interests are in the field of Fluid Dynamics, which is devoted to the mathematical study of the mass, momentum and energy conservation laws describing the motion of different types of fluids subject to prescribed boundary conditions. Some types of these fluids are: viscous, microstretch, micropolar, viscoelastic and couple stress fluids. In addition, I am interested in the study of fluid flows in porous media in addition to the application of the numerical collocation tecknique, the slip boundary conditions and the Sampson singularity method.
