Dr. Samar Karout earned both her B.Sc in pharmacy in 2013 and Pharm. D degree in 2014 from Beirut Arab University.

Her practice expertise includes: Clinical pharmacy practice in hospitals and community settings with emphasis on cardiology.

Her passion for Cardiology originated from her experiences in the clinical rotations at the pharmacy school. 

Dr. Karout previously worked in a community pharmacy for two years, and as a medical representative in a well established medical company.  She joined the faculty of pharmacy in the summer 2016 as a part timer preceptor to guide students in the pharmacy practice experience course (PPE II-III-IV) in the community setting. She was promoted as a clinical instructor for the Integrated case based learning I (ICBL-I) course and the Pharmacy Practice I (PPI) course. She is currently a preceptor who provide training on experiential education in the hospital setting (PPE-V) for pharmacy senior students who are being trained at Rafik Hariri University Hospital.

Research Interest:

Research of interests focus on:

 1-Cardiovascular diseases with regard to epidemiology, prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

2- Improving quality of patient care and techniques for reducing medication errors.
