The Faculty of pharmacy is passionate about pharmaceutical and patient-directed sciences research that makes a difference in people’s lives. Faculty members, staff and students, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, participate in a broad and multidisciplinary research from basic pharmaceutical sciences to clinical research.
In recent years, five research laboratories with a variety of equipment supporting a wide range of pharmacological, pharmaceutics, microbiological and analytical studies were establish. Available equipment include, but are not limited to: Gas Chromatography, HPLC, UV-spectrophotometer, Polarimeter, Pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, Polygraph, kent coda nibp monitor.
Moreover, collaborative research partnerships with many of reputable medical and research centers were obtained.
Our main research domains are:
- Isolation and identification of Natural drug and studying their potential pharmacological action
- Pharmacology of inflammation, cardiovascular and renal systems
- Drug design and synthesis
- Drug delivery systems
- Drug analysis and quality control
- Medication therapy management
- Pharmacists and patient Behavior
The Faculty diverse research programs offer many opportunities for postgraduate studies. Programs are offered leading to the degrees of Master of science and Doctor of Philosophy.
