COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course provides information related to diet and athletic performance. Students will develop an understanding of the relationship among essential nutrients, energy metabolism, and optimal sports performance and obtain the tools they need to properly educate and motivate athletes.

COURSE AIM
The course provides an introduction to sports nutrition and give an explanation of macronutrients, micronutrients and water  and their relation to athletic performance. These chapters focus on the practical and applied aspects of sports nutrition, including behavior change through consultations and weight management.

TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODS
Illustrated lecture using power point, data show and white board.
Demonstration using articles.
Group discussion.
