Dr. Nariman Mohamad Salem, full-time clinical lecturer of medical physiology at Beirut Arab University starting September 2016. Previously worked as part-time teaching assistant of medical physiology at Beirut Arab University (2013-2016). Ongoing master degree in medical physiology at Beirut Arab University. She had completed a 4 year residency program in Anaesthesia at American University of Beirut (2004 – 2008) and 2 years of residency program in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at American University of Beirut (2002 – 2004). She received a Bachelor degree of medicine and surgery from Beirut Arab University in collaboration with Alexandria University, Egypt in 2002. Her clinical training included hospitals in Lebanon as well as in Egypt. Dr. Salem had worked as an anaesthesiologist and has had the interest in academic teaching.(Dr Nariman Cv)


·         Part-time teaching assistant for physiology at the faculty of medicine and health sciences at Beirut Arab University (2013- 2016).


·         -Ongoing research of Master thesis under the name of “Study of the effect of shisha smoking on plasma adiponectin level in young healthy population in Lebanon”.

·        -   Ongoing assistance in “Body weight and body fat distribution and their relation to some dimensions of personality among second year medical students at Beirut Arab University- Lebanon” with Professor Yusuf Hatem as primary investigator.

·       -    Area of research interest: modulation of pain, cognitive behavior.


•Attending workshops done by Dr. Mahmoud El Damaty for “Cost for Quality”, “Quality aspects and dimensions” and “Why quality in Healthcare” in May 2014 at BAU.
•Attending workshops done by Professor Houssam Hamdy for “Adult learning principles”, “Education in Workplace”, “Assessment of competencies”, and Authentic teaching and learning” in December 2014 at BAU.
•Attending annual Anaesthesia conferences held in Lebanon.
•Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiopulmonary life support (ACLS) provider since 2006 certified by American Heart Association AHA.
