Beirut Arab
University opened the third solo exhibition for the Painter and Fine
Artist, Nabila Al Sammak under the title “Dialogue with Nature” at the
Cultural Forum/ Al Moultaqa in Beirut campus in the presence of
President of Beirut Arab University, Amr Galal El-Adawi represented by
the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Khaled Baghdadi; the
Secretary General, Mr. Issam Houri; the deans of faculties, faculty
members and a group of artists, medial people and people interested in
arts.
After cutting the ribbon, the audience toured the hall where 80
paintings were posted. The paintings symbolized life, nature and
humanistic values that translated the Artist’s vision about humanitarian
topics, one of which is dialogue, the topic that invites Nabila Al
Sammak to dive in the depths of nature where the right dialogue, to her,
is the absolute love.
The artist brought the dialogue between trees and birds and the feelings
of horses from inception to recklessness. Upon entering the human world,
mirrored were the values of love, hope, innocence, and dignity to her.
Her paint brush stopped to reflect those values in the colors she chose.
Nabila Al Sammak tried to bring together the apparent truth and
imagination to project the myth of our rising above our limited and
specific reality and thus had her own touches in Modern Fine Arts.
The exhibit will continue till 1 December 2011, between 10 am and 6 pm.
The exhibition was set to continue with the Golden Jubilee of Beirut
Arab University and to host all artists to showcase their creative
artistic, cultural, and social work.
