This course will cover knowledge and skills related to general musculoskeletal conditions, as well as disorders, sports injuries, and surgeries of upper quadrant. Physical therapy assessment, treatment planning, intervention skills, and prevention are discussed for each of the conditions or surgeries covered. The clinical application and practice allows the student to apply didactic knowledge gained through the course.

At the end of this course the student will be able to identify problems for patients with orthopedics and traumatology conditions; demonstrate the special tests of upper quadrant; outline recording sheet according to specific disorder; determine progress according to the follow up based on objective measures; determine appropriate Physical Therapy treatment programs for in-patients and out-patients; discuss contra-indicated movements for each specific disorder; describe a rehabilitation program for soft tissue injuries.
