CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)- Training Vs. Reality

On Thursday evening, September 14, 2017, while Mr. Anwar Issa, a trainer at the Clinical Training Center in the Faculty of Medicine was on his way back from work, a group of people gathered to take pictures of a woman lying in the middle of the street, and the blood was running out of her mouth and nose. She is a pedestrian who was hit by an unknown car. Mr. Issa stopped his car and approached the victim. She was unresponsive, not moving, and pale. Her weak pulse disappeared within few seconds and she became breathless.

Knowing the seriousness of the situation, and based on his clinical experience and knowledge in this field Mr. Issa started chest compression and what is called (CPR) for few minutes until the ambulance arrived. The victim was rescued….

Mr. Issa is providing heart and lung resuscitation in Beirut Arab University .
