COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The course will study the causes, symptoms and diagnosis of the nutrition deficiency diseases prevailing in the community. The course will concentrate on macronutrient deficiencies and micronutrient deficiencies. It focuses on the nutrition intervention programs at the community level according to the nutritional problems prevailing in the community in view of the social, cultural, educational factor and the available economic resources

COURSE AIM:
The course will provide the students with the knowledge about the major nutritional problems, especially, and the basics of nutrition intervention programs in order to combat malnutrition and its associated disorders.
