Funded by the intramural Grant of Beirut Arab University, I visited the School of Engineering of the University of Glasgow from 29th  January till the 2nd February. The first target of my visit was to start conducting our project with my collaborator, Dr. Ian Watson, Reader in Applied Energy in the School of Engineering, University of Glasgow. The second target was to apply for ICM (International Credit Mobility) funding i.e. Erasmus plus, to expand the collaboration between BAU and the University of Glasgow to other schools and colleges.  This represents an excellent opportunity for a mobility applications to develop the institutional relationship.

Our Granted project is entitled “Investigation of Alternative treatments for Fumigation of Dried Food Products”. Prior to my visit, we planned an experimental set up for decontaminating of the chilli flakes using combined technologies: Infrared, UV and Ozone. During my stay, we co-developed the system and performed some microbiology experiments on the system performance and controls.
