The Faculty of Health Sciences, and its Dean Dr. Rajaa Fakhoury have been awarded by the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties, for excellence in hosting the The 19th Regional Meeting of the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties SSANF. Dr. Mirna Fawaz, Assistant Professor at the BAU Nursing Department has been also awarded by the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties, for her contributions to the field of nursing, and for accomplishing the best PhD thesis on the level of Arab nursing faculties. Established in 1998 and now with 82 members from various Arab colleges, the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties aims to promote scientific research and enhance the quality of nursing education in the Arab region. In 2009, it started awarding individuals and institutions for their outstanding and enduring achievements in nursing. The Faculty of Health Sciences hosted the 19th Regional Meeting of the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties SSANF on 24 October 2017, at the Issam Houri Hall in the main building of Beirut Campus where various faculty members from the Nursing Department attended and participated in the discussions. After adjourning the meeting, Nursing faculty members and nursing students escorted the visiting members in a tour around the university facilities. On the second day, Dr. Mirna Fawaz and Dr. Ibrahim Kadamani delivered a lecture about IPE which was followed by a full workshop on its aspects, applications, and integration into the curriculum of students.
