Professional Information
Course Description:
Chemical and biological aspects of certain drugs including: Cardiovascular drugs, diuretics, drugs used to treat respiratory tract disorders, gastrointestinal drugs, drugs affecting neurotransmission (cholinergic agonists and antagonists, adrenergic agonist & antagonists, serotonin receptor drugs), local anaesthetics, vitamins and drugs used to treat neuromuscular disorders.

Overall aims:

The chief objective of the course is to broaden the student professional qualifications after receiving satisfactory information enlightening important chemical, biochemical and pharmacotherapeutic characteristics of selected medicinal and pharmaceutical agents that treat, alleviate a disorder or regain a proper function of several human body systems.
