Dr. Akram El-Tannir is of Lebanese nationality, born in Beirut in 1961. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management at the Faculty of Engineering in Beirut Arab University. He acquired his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. His area of specialization is in the area of Operations Research Applied Statistics, Project Management, Production and Service Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, and Systems. Dr. El-Tannir has been actively engaged in a number of international and local conferences and seminars and published in international academic journals. His research focused on risk estimation and management in Supply Chains and Projects.
