BFSC 001. INTRODUCTION TO ECONOMICS (2 CR.: 2 LEC.)

This course is designed for non-business students. The objective of this one semester course is to enable you to acquire an understanding of a few select microeconomics and macroeconomic principles that are a part of your everyday environment. This course will provide techniques for improved decision-making. Topics to be discussed include introduction to economics, market mechanism, elasticity, market structure, national accounts, aggregate expenditures and equilibrium national income, economic stability, inflation and economic growth. This course meets the core business requirements for economics, and may serve as a social science elective for most students.
