As part of the Cultural Season of Beirut Arab University, the Historian Prof. Hassan Hallak gave a lecture on the Egyptian-Lebanese social, economic, political, educational and demographic relations. The event took place at Jamal Abdul Naser Hall on the 12th of January 2012 in the presence of Deputy Dr. Ammar Houri representing the former Prime Ministers Fouad Senyora and Saad Al Hariri; the first secretary at the Egyptian embassy, Mr. Baher Al Shouwaikhi; the counselor of the Egyptian embassy, Mr. Kassem Mohammad Kassem, the president of BAU, Professor Amr Galal El-Adawi; Deans of Faculties; BAU Secretary General, Mr. Issam Houri; faculty members, administrators and a crowd of interested people.
The Third Annual Meeting of the Lebanese Society for Mathematical Sciences (LSMS 2012), is jointly organized by American University of Beirut and Beirut Arab University and will be held on April 26th - April 28th, 2012.

The Faculty of Medicine at Beirut Arab University joined in the list of colleges recognized by the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education
(FAIMER IMED).
This recognition authorizes students to register for the examinations Step1 & Step2 to work in the United States of America, Canada and the European countries keeping up with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
Beirut Arab University organized an evening concert for Sharbel Rouhana. The concert took place at Jamal Abdul-Naser Hall, BAU, Beirut Campus on 22 December 2011 in the presence of the two deputies, Dr. Ammar Houri and Mr. Khaled Zahraman; Professor Amr Galal El-Adawi, President of BAU, Deans of Faculties, Lecturers and a crowd of students and interested people.
For the fourth year in a row, the Faculty of Medicine at Beirut Arab University, Beirut campus, organized an Artistic and Cultural Night on December 21st, 2011 under the title “Doctors on the Strings of Hearts” where George Khabbaz met in his Art with Talal Haidar in his poetry.
The Human Rights Center at Beirut Arab University and “Adyan” Foundation in collaboration with the “Protection Project” at Johns Hopkins University organized a discussion group under the title “Islam and protection of the Vulnerable” that took place in Beirut Campus on 15 December 2011 in the presence of a number of religious entities.
The Human Rights Center at Beirut Arab University, in collaboration with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Middle East, organized a celebration under the title “Human Rights and Social Media” that took place in Beirut Campus on 12 December 2011.
The event included showing short films about participating in social media.
Within the Beirut International Book Exhibition, the Arab Cultural Club launched its program with the Beirut Arab University honorary symposium on December 3rd, 2011 that was presented by Prof. Ghazi Yamout who touched on the history of BAU. The symposium was attended by Professor Amr Galal El-Adawi, President of Beirut Arab University; Dr. Mohamed Majzoub, and Professor Hassan Hallak, in the presence of former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora; Mohammed Tawfiq, Ambassador of Egypt in Lebanon; Deputy Ammar Houri; Issam Houri, BAU Secretary-General; Deans of BAU faculties and lecturers, and a large crowd of graduates, President and Board of Trustees of “Al Ber wal Ehsan” Association, in addition to a crowd of figures and those concerned with academia and culture.
On the International SIDA Day the First of December, students in the Faculty of Medicine at Beirut Arab University organized an awareness campaign about the SIDA disease. Miss Lebanon, Yara Khouri Mickael participated in the event.
